The Islamic Federation in Hamburg eV is an independent, non-profit organization focusing on the needs and situation of muslims in Germany and Europe. Today, our mosque community consists of people of different ethnicities and different historical migration contexts. This includes those who became natives more precisely the “guest workers” as well as academics with their children and grandchildren, German and foreign students, as well as German born Muslims.
As an association, we are a founding board member of Islamic Communities in Hamburg e.V. called Schura, which concluded with the Hamburg Senate the Treaty on mutual rights and obligations. The association is also a founding member of the Hamburg Union of Arab-Islamic Communities, named Islâh e.V. and we are also founders of the Al Manar Foundation for Islamic Education and Culture in Hamburg.
